why chromosomes are called hereditary vehicles?

Chromosomes enclose with the number of the genes so it carries along with the heredity characteristic from the respective parents to the child.

Hence it is called as the heredity vehicles.

With the support of the genes, they transfer character of a parent to the respective offspring.

They can swap the character begins with one age then onto the next age.
