CIAA ALONE CANNOT THE CORRUPTION
Commissioner Sabitri Thapa (Gurung) at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority today said corruption could not be checked with the sole efforts of the anti-graft body.
Speaking at an interaction programme organised by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority in Pokhara, Gurung stressed that support and cooperation from all and sundry was essential to control corruption in the country.
She said the CIAA was carrying out its duty to investigate cases of corruption and wrongdoing in government organs. She said no one would be spared if found guilty of corruption. “CIAA cannot eliminate corruption alone. It has to be rooted out from everyone’s mind,” she said.
