Why clothes do not get dry in humid days?​

Wet clothes take longer time to dry on a humid day because the air has a lot of water vapour and so it can't accomodate the water vapour created by the wet clothes. So, the water remains, in the clothes for a longer time

Because on cold humid days where there is no sun you have the worst drying conditions. Cold weather does not evaporate the water anything like as fast as hot weather does and when it is very humid the air is much closer to maximum capacity of the amount of water in can hold.Hence why clothes don't dry very well.
