Clouds appear white because of scattering. The droplets in clouds are big compared to the wavelength of light, so all wavelengths scatter the same. It's a different story for the scattering of light from molecules of air in the atmosphere.

Hope it helps.

Answer:

Clouds are made of tiny droplets of water or ice. They are formed when water vapour condenses within pockets of rising air. When clouds are thin, they let a large portion of the light through and appear white. But like any objects that transmit light, the thinker they are, the less light makes its through.
