Though not renewable, CNG still holds some advantages over other fossil fuels such as petroleum. ... In fact, it's not too hard to see why CNG is actually considered to be safer than gasoline. Natural gas is lighter than air, so a spill won't puddle the way gasoline will nor will it sink close to the ground like propane.
