The CO2 solid carbon dioxide is kept under high pressure because it is known as dry ice and to convert this carbon dioxide into solid form, the very low temperature and high pressure is required as it is gas. Moreover, if we decrease the pressure, the dry ice will be converted back into the gaseous carbon dioxide. So to prevent the sublimation of dry ice, it is kept under the low temperature and high pressure.

Because solid form of CO2 is dry ice and when dry is come in contact with high pressure it start subliming so to protect it from sublimation,CO2 is kept under low pressure
