Hey,
Ur answer is here,
The coins in jar and river doesn't show its exact position due to refraction.
when there is no water then the reflected rays from the coin do not reach our eyes at a specific angle but when water is poured refraction takes place and we'll be able to see the coin at different angles due to refraction .
Hope it helps you ☺️
