Why colour of sky is sky blue????

The molecules of air and other fine particles in the atmosphere have size smaller than the wavelenghth of the visible light

These are more effective in scattering light of shorter wavelength a blue end than the light of longer wavelenght at the red end.Thus the blue colour is due to the scattering of the sunlight through fine particles.

The sky is blue because molecules present in air scatters the blue light most from the sun than that of red light...

Due to this scattering of blue light by air molecules... a blue colour enters into our eyes and we saw the sky; blue in colour...

But during sunset we saw the sky in reddish colour because at that time blue light has been scattered out and red - orange colour reach to our eyes...

Hence, during sunset we saw the sky in reddish colour...
