It is just because computer is a du mb machine. It cannot work without commands given by a living being[Humans]. These commands are given in binary digits "0 and 1". But a normal human cannot understand this language. So, to solve this problem, programming languages were introduced. These are simple like English. They are understandable both by a Computer and a Human.Examples of programming languages are : C, Java, Python, JavaScript, Fortran, SQL etc.
