➡️Concave lens is called a diverging lens. BECAUSE
➡️The working of the lens is dependent on the refraction of the light rays as they pass through the lens.
➡️When the ray of light coming parallel to principle axis after refraction through the concave lens diverges and when we produced these rays backward they appears to meet at a point called focus, since lens diverges the ray of light that is why it is called diverging lens.
