because in plants their is a pigment chrollophyle is present but lack in animals that's why he can't make food by sunlight and, Co2 and water..

Plants prepare their own food through the process of photosynthesis. Chlorophyll the green pigment which is present in the leaves of the plants plays a vital role in this process of preparing food. As animals don't have the pigment chlorophyll, they cannot prepare their own food even if all the other essential components are available
