So, writing English is more difficult because writing involves application part of grammar. By this I mean to say you have to apply grammar rules correctly because there are other people who are going to read that and you want them to understand, exactly the same thing you are thinking.

But on the other hand reading is bit easier because while reading we use our common sense and many times our general experiences. So, even if we have little knowledge of grammar then while reading we can interpret the meaning of the sentence correctly.
