Convectional rainfall is more in the United Kingdom during the summer, particularly in the South East of the country.

When the surface of the earth is heated by the sun, convectional rainfall occurs mostly at the equator.

The Himalayas in India block the monsoon winds coming from south west.

Hence India does not receive convectional rainfall.

It experiences orographic rainfall.
