Convectional rainfall is also called 4 o 'clock rain: Convectional rainfall is the result of high rate of evaporation. Then condensation takes place and rain falls. At mid day , when the sun is at the highest position, the temperatures rise at the equator. This increases the evaporation rate. The rises air condenses at a certain altitude and falls as rain drops
