Crystallization is a common technique used to purify solids. Two common methods ofcrystallization are “gradual cooling” and “diffusion”. Gradual cooling involves dissolving the impure solid in a minimum amount of a hot solvent and allowing the resulting solution to coolslowly to room temperature.
