Why copper do not react with hydrochloric acid?

The metal of moderate reactivity are Magnesium, Aluminium, Zinc, Iron and Copper. Because they are less reactive then hydrogen and they cannot displace hydrogen from dilute acid Therefore Copper does not react with hydrochloric acid.

copper is below hydrogen in the reactivity series.this means that copper is less reactive than hydrogen and hence cannot displace it from the acidic solution.however, copper only reacts with strong oxidizing acids such as nitric acid and sulfuric acid .therefore copper do not react with hydrochoric acid.
