Why couldnot the poet traveled both the road in the poem the road not taken (calss 7 answer)

The poet could not travel both roads because i)he wanted to see that from the two roads which one could take him to his destination ii)he had to choose one of them because at once he can only take one path ; as a man At once can visit only one of them......
