Answer:

As blue or violet colour has shorter wavelength which means it scatters more. Thus when sunlight passes from atmosphere the fine particles in air scatter the blue colour more strongly thn red. And thus the sky seems blue.

The colour of sky appears blue due to scattering of light. Fine particles are more effective in scattering light of shorter wavelengths at blue end than light of longer wavelengths at the red end. Thus, when sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the fine partivles in air scatter the blue colour (shorter wavelength) more strongly than red. Blue light is scattered in all directions by the tiny molecules of air in Earth's atmosphere. Blue is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time. Also, the surface of Earth has reflected and scattered the light.
