why covalent bonds have low melting points

Because covalent bond are less stable so it can be break by low melting point. if I wrong somewhere plz tell me

Covalently bonded molecules are seen to have strong bonds within the molecule, but inter molecular forces are small. This gives rise to low melting and boiling point.
