Why covalent compounds have absence of free ions ?

Because all the electrons r =ly shared by all the atoms. So there is no free electrons or ions.

covelent compound are those compound which are formed by the sharing of the election while the formation of compound all the election are shared between the elements that's why the absence of free electron is to be found
