curd is acidic , and metal is basic
there is a chance of neutralisation so , curd should not be stored in metal containers .if there is any mistake please forgive me

It is not set in copper because It is turn in green colour and it could be poisonous.So,I think this reason is applied in iron also. hope it helps you.....
