important reason why facts are important is that they help you understand historical processes. For example, if I talk about absolutism and urbanization in Europe in the abstract, and how they fed off each other to form large bureaucratic states, you wouldn't know what the hell I'm talking about unless you know the facts. Facts allow theories to be grounded in the real life, otherwise, they'll simply remain abstracted theories.

15th august is a good day. Because we have achieved 15th august independence in 1947. So, it could be a good day to write history.
