Why DC isn't used in household electricity ?​

Answer:

We use AC instead of DC at homes. Because it is quite easier to convert high AC current at power generation centre to high Ac voltage so that the loss is minimal in transmission. However in case of DC we need complex circuitry for that and is difficult to convert DC to high voltages as compared to AC.
