why delhi is our capital ? why not mumbai?

Mumbai was just starting and it was not even the capital of Maharashtra(Pune was the statecapital for the Marathas) Hence the capital by default becameDelhi, yes there were small voices to make Nagpur or Central Indiathe capital at times but looking at the cost feasibility they all died their natural death.

delhi is the capital because it is in the certre of our country but mumbai is in the western side of our country
