Why demand curve slopes downward?

When a consumer buys more quantity of goods, he/she would like to buy at a lower price.  Other wise there is no advantage of buying in large chunks of the commodity.

Also the manufacturer can dispose of the goods to market as quickly as possible.  So manufacturer is ready to sell at a lower price for large quantities.

So the demand curve slopes downward.

Heya...

See here for your answer...

Demand curve slopes downward because there is an inverse relationship between own price of the commodity and the quantity demanded for that..

If the price rises quantity demanded will be fall and vice versa..
