Why democracy is abetter form of government

Democracy is a better form of government because:-
1)It gives the people the right to choose the person who will form the government and will rule them.
2)The government formed in a democracy is legitimate. If a party wins an election it forms the government. If a ruling party looses the election, the party has to resign.
3)Democracy promotes equality among the people as it does not promotes any kind of discrimination.
