The answer of this lies in the past. When you see the communist or capitalist system which were followed in the past by the countries like russia,china etc leads to a huge massacre. Joseph stalin and mao tse tung change the whole concept of ideal communism and change it to a state capitalism which was controlled by single party. In Other way if we see a capitalist system it leads to social and financial inequalities. If you read the book "capital in the 21st century" by Thomas piketty you will be able to understand the side-effects of this kind of system.
Now if I look into the democratic system of governance with some features of socialism and capitalism,it will be very effective because every people has the rights to gain knowledge and express his views to the government. If you see the GDP growth of the democratic developing countries, the rate is much higher than that of other forms of governance.
