Because in democracy the government is directly choosen by People and all the people are equal in the eyes of government.In democracy government is changing in every 5 years by which people choose and replace their own representative and a choosen candidate work for the people if he not then replaced on coming elections in democracy liberty is there, Equality is there,and people who are above 18 have right to vote.In democracy no descriminaton is there and government provides equal facilities to all the people of the country.A golden statement said by the Abraham Lincoln is that Democracy means "the work is done for :of the people,for the people and by the people."
