Rangoli is an art form, originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the floor or the ground using quartz powder[1] materials such as colored rice, colored sand or flower petals. It is usually made during Diwali or Tihar, Onam, Pongal and other Hindu festivals in the Indian subcontinent. Designs are passed from one generation to the next, keeping both the art form and the tradition alive.

Akhil wanted to draw Diya as his rangoli design as it was a festival of lights.
- As Diwali is the festival of light and he wanted to help the family members.
- He was helping his granny in the kitchen and she said I don't need any help.
- Then she went to help her mother in cleaning so she gave him the idea to draw rangoli.
- When he went he said I am going to try it is for the time I am drawing he was thinking of making a lamp and finally he made the Diya.
