why did alberuni come to India?

Answer= Alberuni was a great scholar from his kingdom,called Alberuni,visited India during the period of Mahmud Ghaznavi. He came to study mathematics,astronomy and the different religions that flourished in the country. He learnt Sanskrit during his stay and studied many ancient manuscripts. After returning to his home country in 1030,he wrote a book in Arabic titled Tahkike-e-Hind.
