why did Amelia not call a doctor to check her father? how does she explain it to Elizabeth

She thought that Abel did not breathe as he was laying still on the ground.So she thought that he was dead.

Amelia did not called up doctor to check her father Abel because she was happy with his death..as she wanted to take all the property of him..so when Elizabeth came and asked her that why she did not called up the doctor then she explained her that actually doctor was out of city then she said that you might have gone to another doctor then Amelia replied that  he used to prefer same doctor only...                                                                                                    

but Amelia was lieing as she never called up doctor..
