It was because they wanted revenge as the Japan bombed Pearl Harbour. It was totally devastated and many people died. The Americans threw the atom bomb from the aircrafts, which is destructively dangerous it's effects can be seen now also in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But is was potrayed to us that the Americans did that to end the war.
