Plants are stationary thus their supportive tissue is made up of dead cells. Animals move, hence they possess living cells to provide energy for movement. Also, for the many more differences and functions in plants and animals, they are made up of different tissues.

Answer: Animals have different types of tissues because of the different kinds of function . The body of animal is designed in a way that it can perform the function what they are meant to perform . Example the ruminants have different kind of tissue that is specific for the digestion of cellulose . Likewise the nocturnal animals  have specialised  tissue that helps them see at night. There are many more examples . A cells make tissue and animals are multicellular have mutiple cells performing different functions.
