Bismillah Khan refused to stay in USA and start a shehnai school there because he couldnot leave India especially Benaras and the river ganga.

When a student told him that they will set up school same as in Benaras in USA, Bismillah Khan asked him weather he could bring river ganga there. Even he refused to leave India during India-Pak partisan. This shows his extreme patriotism towards India
