After invading Dravidian Civilisation like Harrapa.etc. Aryans started their own culture and Hinduism prevailed on Indian subcontinent. This led to the reading and following of Vedas and Ancient Hindu mythology. Smritis were followed to maintain the society. In eighth century Hindu Kingdoms worked according to these Vedas and Smritis and Values based on Hindu mythology. In one of the Smritis the 'Manu Smriti' 'Manu wrote on Varna Vivastha (Social Caste System) which divided Society into four major parts: Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Veshyas, Shudras. Brahmins were considered as the supreme ones and directly connected to God. They are most respected ones and Shudras were considered as Slaves. Hence Brahmins became important in Hindu Society in early 8th century with learning and following on Smritis especially 'ManuSmriti' and Vedas of early Hindu mythological values.
