Post 1857, India came under the supremacy of the British government.
Britishers used Indian farmers for growing raw materials which were taken to Britain for making finished products.
They forced Indian farmers to grow commercial crops like tea, jute etc because these crops were highly demanded in their country.
So the Britishers exploited Indian farmers for the profit motives of Industrial Revolution in England.....
