His real name was Mohsin-ud-Din, he was son of Haji Shariat Ullah. He divided East Bengal in circles and appointed Khalifas for social welfare. He organized farm workers against high taxes charged by Hindu and British land lords, after his death in 1860 Faraizi movement declined.
