First the British came to trade India.They started to make kings and Nawabs their friends and started skipping the taxes.Later they took the Nawabi rights on Bengal province.With the time they conquered India as our country have best cotton mills so that they can trade,our country have fertile lands to grow indigo, etc.

Many reformers fought against their rowlat act, vernacular act,arms act,etc

Indian national Congress was formed in 1885 when all the people from 72 delegates of our country met together.People started doing many moments to protest against the British.Vandemataram movement or Swadeshi movement was against the partition of Bengal.
