why did british wants to be india educated​

the British decided to educate the people of India because of their profit. they thought ht India was an uncivilized country without the British education and they also thought that only the British could civilize them. they also thought that if Indians were enough qualified they would understand the rules and policies and all the decisions made by the British state or government.

British wants to be India educated because for their administration purpose they need some educated and literal person. So they started to open new college and schools to give education to India. It was not for Indian help it was only for their purpose.
