Caesar's will stated that every roman would get seventy five drachmas from him. this was the last thing that Antony stated and proved that Caesar was not ambitious. this made the romans emotional towards Caesar and infuriate towards the conspirators who were cassius and brutus.

To avenge the death of Caesar, Mark Anthony requested to speak at Caesar's funeral and shook hands with the conspirators. Brutus agreed upon this condition saying that he must address the gathering before Mark Antony does. During Mark Antony's famous speech he brought the topic of Caesar's will. The will read that all citizens of Rome will get five Drachmas each of Caesar's own wealth. This changed the heart of the crowd. Although the crowd was all in favour of Brutus, the matter of the will completely changed the crowd. They were now convinced that Caesar was not ambitious but merely had utmost care and concern for the people of Rome. the words of Anthony captured hearts and in turn made a more promising and reliable support for Caesar.
