he wanted to highlight the issue of industrialisation.
Europe was beginning industrialisation in the 19the century and according to him it could completely wipe off traditional rural communities.so through his book hard times he tried to oppose industrialisation.
this was the main cause for him to write about the terrible effects of industrialisation on people's lives and characters.

hope it helps.

Charles Dickens wrote about the terrible effects of industrialisation on people's lives and characters, because ::-

In the 19th century , europe entered the industrial age. Factories came up, buisness profits increased, and economy grew.

But at the same time, workers faced problems. Cities expanded in an unregulated way, they were full of overemployed and unpaid workers.

The unemployed roamed on the streets for jobs and homeless were forced to seek shelter in workhouses.

So, Charles Dickens wrote about the people's lifestyle and condition during those times.

For eg. ::- Charles Dickens wrote 'Hard Times' , a novel about the workers being recognised as hands and had no other identity . They were the simple instruments of production
