When Chief Seattle says “There is little common between us” in his famous speech of 1854, he means the cultural difference between the Red Indians and the White Americans. That is why their union or a mutual understanding looks very unlikely. Though the White chief sends them message of friendship, Chief Seattle feels that this is not really possible. After all, they are two distinct races with separate origins and separate destinies.

The Chief said there was little common between the europians and the red indians as , first of all the ancestors of the europians ceased loving them after their death passing through the stars high above whereas the red indian ancestors did not forget the land the valleys the hills and rivers which gave it life. Both had different gods, the gods of europians loved them and orotected them whereas forsake the red indians. it seemed as the red indians own god which was the great spirit had forsaken his children.if both had the same god then it would seem that the god is being impartial to the europians as they were in majority and yet the god loved the red indians as well. For red indians the ashes of the indians were were sacred, but the europians wander far from their ancestors grave without regret.
The red indians were really less in number and would be distinct soon yet they would not stop loving the land which game them life. the whites would be dsitinct soon but not now. The ehites wopuld never be alone will return as spirits to their loving land
