Answer:

An old missionary student of China once remarked that Chinese history is “remote, monotonous, obscure, and-worst of all-there is too much of it.” China has the longest continuous history of any country in the world—3,500 years of written history. And even 3,500 years ago China's civilization was old!

Answer:

The reason for China’s continuation is extremely complex. Of course it is. However, it was able to retain continuation throughout such a long history while other civilizations in the world born and die in waves, there are certainly some very fundamental reasons, some very solid causal relations, it cannot be a “fluke” so to speak. Therefore, whenever any of us give some reasons here, it is speculation, educated guess, and essentially we are just picking out some very key factors in Chinese civilization that enabled it to be so long lasting, but we can never claim any factors as “the sole factors”.
