Why did Connie MacPherson use candles in place of electricity?

Answer:Mrs Connie Macpherson was an old lady. She was one hundred one years old. She had silver white hair ,which is pinned into a wispy bun, she had wrinkles on the skin. She used candles rather than electricity because according to her, electricity was too expensive.
