Answer:

At that time India was a very diverse and scattered country. The constitution assembly had a big task of pulling every Indian under the umbrella of unification and making a constitution that would save and protect the rights of everyone of them. No matter what, even if the person is Hindu, Muslim, Man, Woman, Dalit, Majority or minority, they had to make them feel a part of the country and not alienated.

Moreover with the leaving of British a lot of princely states were formed with small kings who had to be persuaded to join india.

Pakistan and Bangladesh were already separated and The constitutional Assembly didn't want to make the matters worse.

Thus, for the Formation of our constitution it took about 3 years under Dr. BR Ambedkar.

Hope it helps!!!

Answer: Due to the diversity of India.

Explanation:

  • After a long struggle by our freedom fighters the day came when the constituent assembly met for the first time on 9th December, 1946.
  • It had a huge task of making laws for a country like India which has a lot of diverse nature in all the aspects such as religion, language, art and culture.
  • Also at that time India was not a unified country a lot of factors were to be kept in mind while framing any law.
  • The tribal population was also to be kept in mind.
  • Finally after a period of 2 years 11 months and 18 days the Constitution was ready.
  • Then it came into force on 26th January,1950.
