Q-Why did Deepak feel lonely at the railway station? in‘thief’ of the story?

Ans-Deepak stole six hundred rupees while Arun was sleeping. He went to the railway station after stealing the money, but did not board the train. His conscience pricked him for robbing a man like Arun who had trusted him. He knew that Arun would feel bad when he would come to know about his stolen money but that would not be for the money but for the loss of trust and faith which he had in Deepak . He roamed around aimlessly and remembered the good times he had spent with Arun. He felt lonely and sad at the thought of leaving Arun. So, he immediately decided to go back to Arun.

Concept:

The thief's story is one of the short stories written by the writer Ruskin Bond.

Explanation:

The story is about two friends Deepak (narrator) and Arun. It highlights the importance of learning and education and the consequences of its deficit.

After stealing the money from his friend, Deepak feels guilty and wants to leave the place and reaches the train station. But he is unable to leave his friend who cares for him and taught him how to write.

After the train went off, Deepak was roaming around and realized his mistake and went back to his friends place and kept the money back.
