Dear Student

Derry was a young boy who lived a miserable life since a bottle of acid fell on his face. This caused his face to deform. He avoided the company of others and remained lonely so that he would not be noticed by others. People treated him differently after his accident the either made fun of him or were scared. The whole situation made him a boy with bitter feelings for everyone. He believed that nobody loved him and his mother loved him because she was supposed to do. He believed he was unwanted and lost. He didn’t want sympathy that people gave him he just wanted to be treated as an ordinary kid.

Derry stayed away from people because they were scared of him. This was due to the fact that one side of Derry’s face was burnt due to acid falling on it.
