Why did fish in shallow pond die during summer

The pond is shallow so there isn't much food. And all the fish in a shallow pond equals bad for the fish. The water would be oxygen depleted. All the air would be breathed up because there isn't much water to hold a sustainable amount of oxygen. Also with all the fish the water would become filthy with waste from the fish and fish dying would make the water dirtier.Plus the water could become to hot and kill the fish. Another thing that can happen is that the fish can be eaten by predators. With shallow water all the fish are exposed to land predators like cats, lizards, birds, and other animals.   But mainly the fish die because the water will run out of oxygen because the fish would breathe it all up.
