Around 10,000 Satyagrahis werearrested and small children and women were thrashed by the police. Mahatma Gandhi decided to call off the Civil Disobedience movement in 1931. On 5th March 1931, Mahatma Gandhi signed the Irwin Pact and agreed to participate in the Second Round Table Conference to be held in London.
