Gandhiji was a person who used to to follow the path of non violence. Therefore he never wanted to follow those operations which follow the path of violence. Salt march or Dandi March was one of his civil disobedience which followed the path of non violence. Before the salt march oor Dandi march, the Britishers had imposed high amount of taxes in the salt which we are made in India itself. Therefore Gandhiji wanted to do the salt march so that he can show the Britishers that Indians can make their salt themselves.
